What is prayer
A hosts of hymns
Recitations – verses
Learned by head ?

Nay - for me its
A conversation with my God.
Sometimes I do not even converse
Not because I cannot
But I’d rather not
I sit in perfect silence
Contemplating , enjoying
The beauty of His home.

I need not talk
For sitting there alone
He refills my cup
With serenity and strength.

I stand and do not wobble
My frown is now
Replaced with a smile.
